Reindeer Games

Reindeer Games is a simple treasure hunt for families. After reading a short story to their kids, parents hide small gifts outside and mark the locations. They then take the kids on a walk looking for the hidden gifts.

Step 1: The Story

Take a few minutes to read this story with your child. It sets the stage for the treasure hunt. If the opportunity presents itself, read it before Christmas Eve.

Step 2: Hide the gifts

When the weather is good and you are in a place where you can hide things outside without worry that someone else will get to them before your children, take a short walk and hide the gifts. When hiding the gifts, you’ll need to mark the location. Click “Hide Gifts” below to get started.

Note: You will need to allow this site to track your location for the game to work.

Step 3: The Game

Take your children on a walk and click “play the game” below. You’ll need to have the volume turned up and keep the phone browser open for it to work.
